So if you collate all your information using a basic template, it\u2019s quicker for your accountant and also helps you keep a clear and organised record of your business finances, should you ever need to refer back to it. <\/p>\n\n\n<\/div> \n\n If you don\u2019t know where to start in creating a spreadsheet, you can download one of our specially made templates:<\/p>\n We\u2019ll also need your personal details like your address, telephone number, National Insurance number<\/a>, and UTR<\/a> number. <\/p>\n\n\n\n A UTR number is your Unique Taxpayer Reference number. It\u2019s a ten digit code which HMRC<\/a> uses to identify you. Once you have it, it will never change and you\u2019ll be asked for it whenever you submit a tax return.
