There are plenty of trades out there with self-employed people. Read below for eight of them!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">1. Landscaper<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The role of a landscaper is to build and maintain gardens, parks and other outdoor landscapes. Isn\u2019t that a gardener we here you say?&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Not really, no.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sure they can carry out general garden maintenance such as trimming dead weeds, but they\u2019re also highly skilled in other areas. <\/p>\n\n\n<\/div> <!-- .c-body -->\n\n<div class=\"b-highlight-mini m-nude m-align-left\">\n    <div class=\"b-block-body\">\n        <p>For example, they can:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Install paths and water features such as swimming pools and ponds<\/li>\n<li>Install rock gardens<\/li>\n<li>Maintain the original landscaping design<\/li>\n<li>Advise clients how to maintain the areas<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n    <\/div>\n<\/div> <!-- .b-highlight-mini -->\n\n<div class=\"c-body\">\n\n\n\n\n<p>Just think of landscapers as the interior designers of outdoor spaces. Pretty cool trade, right?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">2. Boat builder<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>If you were ever wondering how that boat you went on in a few summer\u2019s ago in Venice was built, here\u2019s your answer.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Boat builders (as you probably guessed) are responsible for building, repairing and refitting boats &#8211; this ranges from small sailing boats, all the way to big sea boats.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It\u2019s becoming increasingly popular for boat builders to go self-employed so they can work on a range of building projects at once.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">3. Cleaning services<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>It\u2019s not uncommon for professional cleaners to be self-employed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In fact, it\u2019s actually the opposite. Providing you have the tools, knowledge (and a bit of patience) to clean buildings, offices, houses and more &#8211; a cleaning business might just be for you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">4. Personal trainer<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>As a personal trainer, you\u2019re responsible for creating one-on-one fitness programmes for your clients, and guiding them to achieve their overall fitness goals.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Personal trainers can be both self-employed and employed by a gym. Self-employed personal trainers can take on as many clients as they can manage at once.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There is usually a high demand for self-employed personal trainers (especially after the festive period! \ud83d\ude06)\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">5. Embalmer<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The role of an embalmers is simply to preserve and prepare bodies for burial or cremation. There are very specific techniques and procedures you\u2019ll have to learn to undertake this role.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Nonetheless, embalmers are often self-employed and work for more than one funeral director.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">6. Chef\u00a0<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Many chefs leave their full-time job in a restaurant to work for themself. Self-employed chefs usually have better opportunities and more freedom to showcase their skill in the kitchen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A chef can also be employed and self-employed at the same time.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Not anyone who cooks up a tasty salmon en croute can call themself a chef, though! This trade requires qualifications and knowledge of health and hygiene standards. \ud83e\uddd1\u200d\ud83c\udf73<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">7. Bookkeeper\u00a0<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Good with numbers? Then you might want to consider getting into bookkeeping. You\u2019ll be hired by clients to record and process all of the financial transactions.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This involves data entry, filing invoices, making payments, chasing invoices, and even preparing your clients business books so they\u2019re ready for accountants at the end of the financial year.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">8.
