{"id":257,"date":"2019-05-29T13:21:56","date_gmt":"2019-05-29T12:21:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/taxfix.com\/en-uk\/?p=257"},"modified":"2025-09-05T12:31:45","modified_gmt":"2025-09-05T11:31:45","slug":"uploading-documents-to-your-taxscouts-account","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/taxfix.com\/en-uk\/my-taxscouts-account\/uploading-documents-to-your-taxscouts-account\/","title":{"rendered":"How to add additional documents to your Taxfix account"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Why do I have do add additional documents?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Taxfix can automatically connect to your HMRC account and fill in your PAYE details.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, in many cases, this is not enough for our accountants to do your tax return.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For example, they might need:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>documents about your <a href=\"https:\/\/taxfix.com\/en-uk\/register-as-self-employed\/\">self-employment registration<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/taxfix.com\/en-uk\/glossary\/invoice\/\">invoices<\/a> and receipts<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>bank statements<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/taxfix.com\/en-uk\/what-is-eis\/\">EIS<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/taxfix.com\/en-uk\/what-is-seis\/\">SEIS<\/a> certificates<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>pension contributions, etc.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Do I need to add all the documents in one go?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Not at all.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You can start, stop, and pick up the process any time you like. You can also upload additional documents at any point via your phone or computer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Taxfix will automatically save your progress.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Step 1<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Log into <a href=\"https:\/\/taxfix.com\/en-uk\/assessment\/overview\">your Taxfix account<\/a> and select the tax return you would like to upload documents to.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Select the tax year you&#8217;re filing for and click the\u00a0<strong>\u201cmake changes\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0button next to it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Step 2<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Select&nbsp;<strong>\u201cdocuments\u201d<\/strong>&nbsp;on the tab above your tax return.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Step 3<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Select which section you need to upload documents for from the tab on the left side (e.g. upload a spreadsheet that contains income and expenses from your rental property).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Then select\u00a0<strong>\u201cupload\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0and navigate to where your spreadsheet is stored on my computer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Finally, select\u00a0<strong>\u201copen\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0then\u00a0<strong>\u201cdone\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0so the document will be uploaded to the profile.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Click&nbsp;<strong>\u201cfinish\u201d<\/strong>,&nbsp;and it&#8217;s done!<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/taxfix.com\/en-uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/25Q3_Rebrand_Generic_Lifestyle_EN_20.png\" width=\"1280\" height=\"857\" srcset=\"https:\/\/taxfix.com\/en-uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/25Q3_Rebrand_Generic_Lifestyle_EN_20-300x201.png 300w, https:\/\/taxfix.com\/en-uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/25Q3_Rebrand_Generic_Lifestyle_EN_20-1024x686.png 1024w, https:\/\/taxfix.com\/en-uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/25Q3_Rebrand_Generic_Lifestyle_EN_20-768x514.png 768w, https:\/\/taxfix.com\/en-uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/25Q3_Rebrand_Generic_Lifestyle_EN_20.png 1280w\" class=\"wp-block-image__media\" sizes=\"auto, (min-width: 1000px) 768px, calc(100vw - 48px)\" alt=\"\"><\/div>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Still need help?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>If you need any help with uploading your documents, please log in to your Taxfix account and&nbsp;<strong>click on the blue \u201cHelp\/Chat\u201d icon found on the bottom right side<\/strong>&nbsp;of your account.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We are always a click away.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Why do I have do add additional documents?
