You\u2019ll need it for a variety of different reasons like:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Applying for a mortgage<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Filing a Self Assessment tax return<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Taking out a loan or credit card&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Receiving tax credits<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>To use in cases of tax disputes<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>As a form of proof of income&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>If you don\u2019t have access to your P60 and need to file a tax return, don\u2019t panic. However, if they haven\u2019t, you can always request it from them. Your employer is required to keep your P60 on record for three years for tax purposes.
